Why are there so many different churches? Don't we all believe in Jesus? This is the question confirmation students unpacked last week as we learned about Christian Denominations, the major schisms (separations), and differences in churches. Students "took a stand" and argued about their own beliefs, shared highs and lows and closed with prayer.

Confirmation students (grades 6-8) meet weekly to learn core lessons about our Lutheran faith and dig into the Bible.
This week students wrestled with what is right and fair as they studied the 10 commandments. Split into two groups, students created their own explanation of the ten commandments after reading Martin Luther's explanations in his Small Catechism.
Pastor Jenny then challenged two teams to silly minute to win it games. The fun game turned to blame when they realized the rules weren't the same for everyone. Students learned the Lutheran doctrine of the two uses of the law.
Class ended with small group highs and lows.
